How much does it cost to elevate a house in Houston?

Short answerElevating a slab-on-grade house in the Houston area typically costs $150,000 to $250,000 or more. The main drivers are the size and weight of the house, how high it goes (we lift 6 to 18 ft), the new foundation required, site access, and the stairs, utilities and finishes needed at the new height.

Is it worth it?
If your house has flooded more than once, elevation can be cheaper over time than repeated repairs, and raising the lowest floor can reduce flood insurance premiums. Compare it with foundation repair.

What is the cheapest way to raise a house?
There is no cheap version of a safe lift. A lower lift and a simple foundation cost less, but the required flood elevation sets the minimum height.
